Simultaneous elections a 'desirable goal': CEC Sunil Arora

Chief Election Commissioner Sunil Arora on Thursday said that simultaneous elections is a "desirable goal". For this, "the political systems of the country will have to take steps to align the life of a state assembly with the life of Parliament", he added. He further said that Election Commission officials recently met the law secretary to discuss electoral reform issues.
