Singapore, Malaysia reopen land border after nearly 2 years

The land border between Singapore and Malaysia was reopened on Monday after a nearly two-year closure due to the coronavirus pandemic. However, there are concerns that the border might be shut again due to the new Omicron COVID-19 variant. As many as three lakh Malaysians commuted daily to Singapore before the pandemic, according to Reuters.
