Singapore parliament speaker, MP quit over 'inappropriate' affair

Singapore parliament speaker Tan Chuan Jin and cabinet minister, Cheng Li Hui, resigned on Monday over their "inappropriate relationship". PM Loong said he accepted the resignations to uphold the standards of his People's Action Party (PAP), which has been in power in Singapore since 1959. Notably, the political upheaval follows a high-level graft probe into Transport Minister S Iswaran.
