Singapore's e-commerce platform Shopee to shut down India operations

Shopee, the e-commerce arm of Singapore-headquartered Sea Ltd, on Monday announced it's closing down India operations citing "global market uncertainties". The development comes over a month after the Indian government banned Sea's Garena Free Fire gaming app. "[We'll work] to support local seller and buyer communities and our local team to make the process as smooth as possible," Shopee said.
