Singer Bamba Bakya, known for his collaborations with AR Rahman, passed away in a hospital in Chennai at the age of 49. Bakya was hospitalised after he complained of discomfort in the chest, reports said. Bakya, who recently sang Ponni Nadhi for Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan, sang many devotional songs in his career.
