'One Direction' band's former singer Liam Payne's medical cause of death has been confirmed in a UK inquest opening as "polytrauma". Polytrauma is a medical term that describes a person who has suffered multiple traumatic injuries to their body and organ systems. The UK-born singer died aged 31 after falling from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires in October 2024.
