SIR aimed at helping BJP win polls, SC must stop deletions: Sibal

Congress MP Kapil Sibal on Wednesday said that the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise carried out by the Election Commission is aimed at helping the BJP win elections. Sibal sought Supreme Court's intervention to stop "bulk deletions" taking place under the exercise. He made the remarks over a report that alleged BJP workers in Jharkhand are seeking to delete voters.
