Legendary Australia batter Sir Donald Bradman had scored 6,996 Test runs at an average of 101.39 when he came out to bat for the last time on August 14, 1948. Bradman was bowled for duck by England's Eric Hollies off a googly. He finished his career with an average of 99.94, missing an average of 100 by just four runs.
