Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav said Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Uttar Pradesh is "NRC in disguise". Yadav added that it's a part of larger conspiracy to remove voters opposed to BJP. "If the NRC (National Register of Citizens) is ever implemented, what documents have to be given? The same papers have to be presented," he said.
