SIR notices to Amartya Sen, ex-Navy chief system-generated: ECI

ECI's notices issued to former Navy chief Admiral Arun Prakash (retd) and Nobel laureate Amartya Sen under the ongoing SIR exercise are "system-generated", poll panel officials told Hindustan Times. The hearing notices sent to these public figures aimed to resolve discrepancies in their electoral data and verify their voter identity. Indian cricketer Mohammed Shami was also sent a notice.
