Sister gives brother gift of life with kidney donation

Ahead of Rakshabandhan, 47-year-old Jyoti Meghnathi from Junagadh donated her kidney to her 44-year-old brother, a primary school teacher from Morbi, who was battling chronic kidney disease. The living donor transplant was successfully performed at Marengo CIMS Hospital, Ahmedabad, on August 25. Both siblings are recovering well after the surgery.
