Sitharaman begins Budget 2026 speech marking Guru Ravidas Jayanti

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman began her Budget 2026 speech by acknowledging the sacred occasion of Magh Purnima and birth anniversary of Guru Ravidas. Sitharaman highlighted that since PM Narendra Modi-led government assumed office 12 years ago, India's economy has seen stability, fiscal discipline, sustained growth, and moderate inflation. She is presenting Budget for 9th consecutive year.
