Sitharaman holds traditional halwa ceremony ahead of Budget 2026, takes tour of Budget Press

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman held the traditional halwa ceremony in the Budget Press at Delhi's North Block. The ceremony, held every year before the Budget announcement, marks the final stage of Budget preparation process and the initiation of the "lock in" of the financial document. Sitharaman also took a tour of the press and reviewed the preparations for the Budget.
