Sitting for more than 30 minutes at a time linked to higher risk of cancer death: Study

Sitting for over half an hour at a time each day raises cancer-death risk, a study found. Researchers found every additional hour spent sitting continuously for at least 30 minutes was associated with 9% higher risk of cancer-related death. Replacing just one hour of prolonged sitting each day with light physical activity was linked to 12% lower risk of cancer-death.
