Bihar govt removes Siwan SP amid row over use of AK-47 during student protests
Bihar government has transferred Siwan Superintendent of Police Puran Kumar Jha amid controversy over the use of AK-47 by suspended constable Abhishek Kumar during student protests on July 25. Earlier, Bihar Police told the Supreme Court that Kumar "got trapped in the crowd" and fired four rounds "in the air". Jha has been placed under waiting for a new posting.
