Six people killed by elephants in Karnataka’s Mudigere: MLA

Legislator in Karnataka’s Mudigere, MP Kumaraswamy, on Thursday said violent elephants in his constituency have killed six people and destroyed some houses. “Elephant population is increasing, their foeticide…or shifting…is also not happening,” Kumaraswamy said in the state Assembly. He demanded compensation for those farmers who couldn’t take up sowing because of the elephants.
