Sizes of eggs getting smaller due to heatwave: Report

The size of eggs is getting smaller due to heatwave in India, TheCSRJournal reported. It said that hens can't sweat to cool themselves but keep panting to regulate their temperature. After being subjected to extreme heat for longer periods of time, the birds' health is affected and leads to production of eggs that have less weight and weakened eggshell strength.
