Sky turns into 'giant wave' as shelf cloud rolls over New Jersey coast

A shelf cloud rolled over the coast near Cape May, New Jersey, turning the sky into a 'giant wave'. A video showed a long, dark band of cloud stretching across the horizon and moving over the coastal area. Shelf clouds are low, horizontal and often wedge-shaped clouds that develop along the leading edge of a thunderstorm or squall line.
