Skyroot India's 1st space startup to test fire upper-stage rocket engine

Hyderabad-based Skyroot Aerospace became India's first private space startup to successfully test fire an upper-stage rocket engine. They launched a 3D-printed rocket engine named Raman, after Nobel laureate CV Raman. The startup was founded in 2018 by former Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) scientists Pawan Kumar Chandana and Naga Bharath Daka.
