SL records highest elephant deaths due to conflict with man: Report

Sri Lanka has recorded the highest number of elephant deaths due to human-elephant conflict, Daily News reported. Sri Lanka's COPA revealed Sri Lanka ranked second in human deaths due to conflict whilst India holds the first rank. The number of elephants killed in Sri Lanka was 407 in the past 12 months as against the previous annual average of 272.
