Slack CEO Stewart Butterfield to step down in January

Slack Co-founder and CEO Stewart Butterfield will step down from his post in January 2023, the workplace messaging platform's owner Salesforce said on Monday. Slack was acquired by Salesforce last year for nearly $28 billion. Butterfield will be succeeded by Lidiane Jones, who has been working with Salesforce as executive VP of its Commerce Cloud and Marketing Cloud units.
