Slippers left after Scarlett Keeling's murder led to man's conviction

A pair of orange slippers that beach shack worker Samson D'Souza left behind as he hurriedly abandoned British teenager Scarlett Keeling on Goa's Anjuna beach led to his conviction in the 11-year-old​ murder case. D'Souza was accused of drugging and sexually assaulting Keeling before leaving her to die. The Bombay High Court last week sentenced him to 10 years' imprisonment.
