Smartphones overtake diamonds as India's top export to US: Report

Smartphones have overtaken non-industrial diamonds in value to become India's largest product export to US in past three quarters, Business Standard reported citing data from Department of Commerce. Smartphone exports hit $2 billion in June quarter, compared to non-industrial diamond's exports worth $1.44 billion, the report added. The rise in smartphone exports was primarily driven by iPhones.
