Smith falls lbw shouldering arms to debutant, reviews in vain

Steve Smith's indifferent run as a Test opener continued after being dismissed lbw by debutant Ben Sears on the opening day of the Christchurch Test. Sears' third ball in Tests hit gold when Smith's attempt to shoulder arms backfired: the ball angled in off length and had him in a tangle. Smith instantly reviewed it, but replays confirmed his misjudgement.
