Smith scores most runs by a batsman in a Test series in last 25 years

Australia batsman Steve Smith ended his Ashes 2019 campaign with 774 runs in seven innings, registering the most runs by a batsman in a Test series in the last 25 years. The last time a batsman scored more runs in a Test series than Smith's 774 was in 1994 when ex-West Indies captain Brian Lara scored 798 runs against England.
