Smoke seen coming out of Alaska volcano, alert level raised

A video has been shared by the Alaska Volcano Observatory that shows smoke coming out of the Shishaldin Volcano. The observatory said it has detected "strongly elevated surface temperatures" at the summit of the volcano and "lava is likely present within the summit crater". As a result, it has raised the alert level to 'watch'.
