Smriti breaks world record for scoring most int'l runs in a year in women's cricket

India opener Smriti Mandhana on Sunday broke the world record for scoring most international runs in a calendar year in women's cricket. Mandhana took her tally of runs in 2024 to 1,602 after scoring 91(102) in the first ODI in Vadodara. She overtook South Africa's Laura Wolvaardt, who held the previous record with 1,593 runs in 2024.
