Smriti Mandhana has been appointed captain of the Indian women's cricket team, succeeding Harmanpreet Kaur, who stepped down from the role earlier on Tuesday. "To be given the responsibility of leading India is a very special honour," Smriti said. The 30-year-old has previously captained India in Harmanpreet's absence and also leads RCB in WPL.
