Snapchat removed a 'Juneteenth' filter hours after releasing it. Apologising to those who found it "offensive", Snapchat said the filter went live without being approved through its review process. The selfie filter urged users to "smile" to "break" the virtual chains appearing behind their head. Juneteenth (June 19) commemorates the emancipation of those who had been enslaved in the US.
