SoftBank to invest $500 mn in OpenAI at $150-bn valuation: Report

Japanese investor SoftBank will be investing $500 million in Sam Altman-led OpenAI in its latest funding round, which valued the startup at $150 billion before the deal, The Information reported. The round's lead investor, Thrive Capital, is investing $1 billion in OpenAI. Other potential investors part of the round include Tiger Global, Microsoft, UAE's MGX, Dragoneer Investment and Nvidia.
