Solar-powered pest control system for smaller farms made: IIT KGP
IIT Kharagpur researchers claim to have developed an "energy-efficient" pest controlling device for smaller agricultural fields. It is a self-propelled boom-type sprayer that can be operated using solar energy and is aimed to increase uniformity in liquid spraying. The system comprises a propelling unit fitted with a liquid storage tank and a DC motor operated pump to pressurise the liquid.
