Some stars could support 7 Earth-like planets: Study

A UC Riverside-led study concluded that some stars could support seven Earth-like planets in absence of a Jupiter-like planet. "More than seven, and the planets become too close to each other and destabilise each other's orbits," a researcher said. The team found that our Sun could support six planets with liquid water but they suspect Jupiter limited our system's habitability.
