After Bengaluru techie Atul Subhash's suicide over harassment by wife and her family, BJP MP and Bar Council of India Chairman Manan Kumar Mishra said, "Some women file a case of 498A (cruelty) even at petty issues." "Everyone knows that [498A] is being more misused than it's being used properly...The provisions of the law need some changes," Mishra added.
