Something’s wrong in Madras HC handling of Karur stampede case: SC

Supreme Court said "something is wrong" in the manner in which Madras High Court is dealing proceedings related to Karur stampede. SC questioned how the case was handled by High Court's Chennai Bench despite Karur falling under the jurisdiction of the Madurai Bench. The stampede in Karur happened during TVK chief Vijay's rally in Karur, claiming lives of 41 people.
