Sonamarg tunnel in Jammu & Kashmir will boost defence logistics

The recently inaugurated the ₹2,700 crore Sonamarg tunnel in Jammu & Kashmir is expected to boost defence logistics while driving economic growth. Sonamarg tunnel, along with the under construction Zojila Tunnel, will reduce the route length to 43km and boost vehicle speed to 70 km/hr. This enhanced connectivity will improve all-weather connectivity and boost defence logistics.
