Sony to buy 'Halo' videogame's original maker Bungie for $3.6 bn

Sony has announced a $3.6-billion deal to acquire the original creator of the 'Halo' videogame and developer of 'Destiny', Bungie, which will join Sony's PlayStation family. Bungie had worked on 'Halo' while it was owned by Microsoft. Bungie will be an independent unit of Sony Interactive Entertainment, run by its board chaired by CEO Pete Parsons.
