Sotheby's to accept cryptocurrency for auction of Banksy artwork

Sotheby's will accept Bitcoin and Ethereum for Banksy's "Love is in the Air" artwork, its CEO Charles Stewart told CNBC. This will mark the first time cryptocurrency is accepted as payment for physical artwork, he added. Bidding for the artwork, estimated at $3-$5 million, will be done in USD but the buyer will have an option to pay via cryptocurrency.
