South Korea court cuts ex-PM Han’s jail term to 15 yrs in martial law case

A South Korean appeals court on Thursday reduced former Prime Minister Han Duck-soo's jail sentence from 23 years to 15 years over his role in ex-President Yoon Suk Yeol’s brief imposition of martial law in 2024. The court said he helped facilitate the move and "joined ​the side participating in insurrection". However, it noted his 50-year-long career in public service.
