South Korea court cuts ex-PM Han’s jail term to 15 yrs in martial law case
A South Korean appeals court on Thursday reduced former Prime Minister Han Duck-soo's jail sentence from 23 years to 15 years over his role in ex-President Yoon Suk Yeol’s brief imposition of martial law in 2024. The court said he helped facilitate the move and "joined the side participating in insurrection". However, it noted his 50-year-long career in public service.
