South Korea finds 9 banks illegally shorted ₹1,300 crore stocks

South Korea on Monday said it has found violations of rules on short-selling by nine banks in the domestic stock market. This comes after it had imposed a ban on 'naked' short selling of stocks in November last year. Two of the banks have already been fined. The short-selling of stocks totals to 211.2 billion won (around ₹1,300 crore).
