South Korea may get ₹3.54 lakh cr tax windfall in 2026: Report

South Korea’s excess tax revenue may exceed 50 trillion won (about ₹3.54 lakh crore) in 2026, Yonhap News reported. The semiconductor sector has played a major role in boosting government finances, reports said. Under its 2027 budget proposal, Sotuh Korea plans to use much of the semiconductor-driven windfall to finance AI, chip and youth-support initiatives.
