South Korea's medical tourism tops 2 million visitors for 1st time

South Korea is emerging as a major medical tourism hub, attracting 2.01 million foreign patients in 2025 for affordable, high-quality health check-ups and advanced care. Fast results, preventive healthcare and English-language support helped push the annual total past 2 million for the first time. China, Japan and Taiwan accounted for the largest share of visitors.
