South Korea vows to end use of nuclear power

Moon Jae-in, President of South Korea, one of the world's largest nuclear electricity producers, has vowed to phase out the country's dependence on nuclear power, following fears of a Fukushima-style meltdown. Adding that he would lead the country towards a 'nuclear-free era', Jae-in said he would scrap all existing plans for new nuclear reactors and wouldn't extend existing plants' lifespan.
