South Mumbai records hottest October day in 13 years

South Mumbai recorded a maximum temperature of 37.4°C on October 2, which was 5.6°C above normal, according to the India Meteorological Department’s (IMD) Colaba observatory. It was the highest October temperature recorded in South Mumbai since at least 2013. The all-time highest October maximum temperature at the Colaba observatory is 39.5°C, recorded on October 22, 1968.
