SP leader Bal Kumar Patel joins Congress, to contest from Banda

Former Samajwadi Party MP Bal Kumar Patel on Friday joined Congress in the presence of party president Rahul Gandhi and Congress General Secretary for eastern Uttar Pradesh Priyanka Gandhi Vadra. UP Congress chief Raj Babbar and the party's General Secretary for western Uttar Pradesh Jyotiraditya Scindia were also present. Patel will contest the upcoming Lok Sabha polls from Banda seat.
