Addressing a public gathering, Apni Janta Party chief and former UP minister Swami Prasad Maurya made objectionable remarks on Lord Ram, sparking a political row. Amid a probe into the alleged embezzlement of donations at Ayodhya's Ram Mandir, Maurya claimed that crores of rupees, along with gold and silver offerings, had allegedly been stolen from the temple.
