SP MLA takes dig at UP sports minister, says 'Has never played gilli-danda'

Taking a dig at UP Sports Minister Girish Chandra Yadav in Assembly, Samajwadi Party (SP) MLA Kamal Akhtar said, “The Minister has never even played gilli-danda, yet he has become the Sports Minister.” Responding to Akhtar, Finance Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna said, "Sports minister wrestles, one day, we’ll have you wrestle with him.” Khanna’s remark drew laughter in the House.
