SP skips 3rd candidate; UP Rajya Sabha seats set uncontested

Samajwadi Party decided against fielding a third candidate for Uttar Pradesh's 10 Rajya Sabha seats, leaving BJP with eight nominees and SP with two. All 10 seats are now set to be filled unopposed. SP chief Akhilesh Yadav cited focus on 2027 UP assembly elections, while open-ballot system and cross-voting risks influenced the decision.
