Space mission launching from India to create artificial solar eclipses

The European Space Agency's Proba-3 space mission, which will be launched by India's PSLV-XL launcher from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre, is set to create artificial solar eclipses. Under the mission, one satellite will block out the fiery disc of the Sun for the other satellite, to enable prolonged observations of the Sun's surrounding atmosphere, the agency said.
