Spacecraft that will capture Sun's poles set to be launched

Under a joint NASA and European Space Agency (ESA) mission, the Solar Orbiter spacecraft will be launched to take first close look at the poles of the Sun. ESA's Mark McCaughrean said that there are no "rational reasons" why the poles shouldn't be different. The lift-off is scheduled for February 9 from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida.
