SpaceX gets option to buy Cursor for $60 bn, will pay $10 bn even if it cancels deal

SpaceX has secured the option of buying code-generation AI startup Cursor for $60 billion, a year after the startup was valued at just $9.9 billion. If SpaceX decides not to buy Cursor, it'll pay $10 billion for its collaborative work on building a coding and knowledge work AI model. Two product engineering heads at Cursor had joined SpaceX in March.
